School trips abroad - the green lights been given!
Update from our Blog on 21st May 2021
Wonderful news... Updated guidance from the Department for Education from Step 4 of the Government’s roadmap gives schools the go-ahead to take school groups on trips abroad that have previously been deferred - and they can also plan new international visits.
DfE announces key dates for the resumption of school trips
The Department for Education (DfE) updated its coronavirus operational guidance on 6th July 2021 with important new information for English schools waiting to book their next educational trip.
The guidance for Scottish schools is slightly different and can be found here.
On the 19th July, when the new guidance is scheduled to come into effect will be in line with that of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). This removes any confusion for schools and where they can travel to.
"We continue to recommend you do not go on any international visits before the start of
the autumn term. From the start of the new school term you can go on international visits
that have previously been deferred or postponed and organise new international visits for
the future"
